Julie Turgeon, PhD

Julie Turgeon is a research associate in the Nephrology, Transplantation and Renal Regeneration Research Unit at the CHUM Research Centre in Montreal. She is also the Program Coordinator of the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP). She completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at the University de Montréal. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University de Montréal in Dr. Rivard’s team at the CHUM Research Centre in Montreal. Her main study was on the modulation of post-ischemic neovascularization in the presence of cardiovascular risk factors. Then, she joined the team in 2012 to work on extracellular vesicles in the context of transplantation. When not in the lab, Julie's main interests are cooking and gardening.
